I know you're tired. I know you're hurting. I know some mornings the sun feels like a rumor behind clouds that refuse to move. I am not going to tell you none of that is real, because it is. But I am asking you to do one thing today you have not done yet. Put on a special pair of glasses.
Not the kind that promise the clouds will vanish if you just think positive hard enough. These are cloud-proof. They don't erase what is heavy; they simply let you see straight through it, and they were built from the exact same part of you that has kept you standing through every hard morning up to this one. You already own them. You have just been too tired to remember where you set them down.
I know you keep telling yourself you're not ready. Yes, you are.
You've listened to the podcasts. You have read every post that stopped your scroll and made you sit still for a second. You've watched the videos late at night when sleep wouldn't come, taking in every word like medicine. That was not killing time. That was preparation. It is your day.
It is your turn.
How do I know? Because I am speaking to you from the other side of exactly where you are standing right now. I was there. Some days I still have one foot in and one foot out, if I'm being as honest with you as I'm asking you to be with yourself.
But as long as I have one foot left to stand on, I am going to hop into this day on it, grateful.
So here is all I know to tell you. Step outside and let actual air touch skin. Look in the mirror and smile at yourself, even if it feels foolish, even if it is the first real smile you have given that woman in a while. Take a few deep breaths, slow enough to remember you are still here to take them. Then write your hopes and your dreams down on paper, the real ones, the ones you stopped saying out loud because it hurt less to pretend you had forgotten them.
You have not forgotten them. They have been waiting on you the same patient way the sun waits behind the clouds, whether or not anyone remembers to look up. You are no longer the woman who is finished before she has even started again. You are the woman who is still standing, glasses in hand, one foot ready to move. So do not give up today. The world, and every hope you ever wrote down and hid away, is still waiting on you to walk back out into it.
